Description You will explore the special education field, what factors affect it, and the rights of, and approaches to, students with exceptionalities, their parents, professionals and support staff. As well, you will deal with students with major behaviour and/or emotional challenges. You will also learn appropriate educational and behaviour management approaches.
Notes Prerequisites: Working Safely: Safe Care of Self/Others CEED-101, Foundations of Education CEED-102, Personal and Interpersonal Dynamics CEED-104; CEED-202 Classroom Skills may be taken as a corequisite. CEED105 Developmental Psychology (Development over the lifespan) should be completed with or prior to this class.
