Description This course is an introduction to Healthcare infection prevention and control for healthcare workers. The student will apply the best practices of infection prevention and control in a healthcare setting. This includes the importance of hand hygiene, the proper use of personal protective equipment, the importance of the disinfection of all health care surfaces and other IC strategies to help break the chain of transmission of infectious diseases.
Notes A minimum grade of 50% (D) is required in each of the practical and theoretical components to pass each course. Attendance is mandatory.
