Fundamentals of Mathematics for Engineering MATH-001
Course Name: | Fundamentals of Mathematics for Engineering |
Course Number: | MATH-001 |
Category: | Mathematics |
Description | In this course we will cover the basic fundamentals of mathematics required for engineering courses. You will review topics from algebra and trigonometry. Some fundamental concepts include integral exponents rules, roots and radicals, scientific and engineering notations and rounding rules using significant digits. Students will perform conversions between percent, fractions and decimals. We will apply mathematical principles and laws to perform algebraic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. You will solve linear equations and systems of linear equations using various methods. Further, you will learn to rearrange formulas to solve for different variables. We will graph algebraic functions and find their domain and range. You will perform fundamental operations involving the trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions as well as solve problems related to right angle triangles. |
