| Description | This introductory course provides students with an introduction to the art of filmmaking and cinematography using smartphones. Students learn to manage exposure and make creative decisions about compression, bit rate and aspect ratio. They'll discover fundamental creative techniques such as bokeh, depth of field and frame rate, learn the capabilities of different focal lengths and filters, and perfect the settings in the exposure triangle. It will also explore the Filmic Pro app, and functions the software unlocks in our camera phone, adding expanded dynamic range, exponentially more colour space and an array of video profiles. |
