CNC Lathe (Level 2) - CAM Essentials  CNCL-201

Course Name: CNC Lathe (Level 2) - CAM Essentials
Course Number: CNCL-201
Category: Engineering Technology & Applied Science
Description Building on the fundamental concepts of CNC Lathe Level 1, this course moves towards integrating CAD and CAM technology. Students will learn the basic design and toolpath functions of MasterCam, as it relates to CNC lathe equipment. This software will be used to create intermediate level parts that can be machined on a CNC lathe. Learners will then use the CAM software to create tool paths from 2D and 3D geometry, that the student will then use to execute their own setup created in MasterCam, to produce a part. The student will be taught procedures related to safe CNC lathe setup.
