Description Accounting Micro Applications 1 will teach you about meeting the operating and financial reporting needs of a medium-sized business that requires customer and vendor management.

The course will build on the knowledge and skills you may have acquired in the Small Business Software (ACCT150) course. As such, you will develop know-how in designing financial systems in a more complex environment, analyzing and recording business transactions, and producing and analyzing financial reports.

Accounting Micro Applications 1 will be taught using Sage ACCPac ERP 5.6 software and will include lab tests on general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable modules. You will also have the opportunity to design, configure and operate a system using a mid-market accounting software application.

Your Accounting Micro Applications 1 training will give you the know-how to:

•Show competencies in using accounting software (ACCPac);
•Perform daily transactions using general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable modules;
•Use financial accounting principles to enter transactions, and adjustments of accounts ending with year-end procedures;
•Manage accounting data files, including backup procedures and disk management;
•Classify accounting companies entering opening balances using the Chart of Accounts;
•Record correcting errors and produce accurate financial reports and statements.
