Description This course provides a comprehensive introduction to World Architecture. The course will commence with a general overview of the basic principles and ideas which gave birth to architecture and persist to modern day. Through the chronological study of the evolution of architecture, factors that transform and shape our built environment will be examined including social, political, religious, cultural and technological. The aim of this course is to provide students with a general perspective of the development of architecture and the city through history, and provide a basic understanding of the forces that shape the built environment.
