Description An introductory course, Programming 1 lays the foundation for the design and development of business applications.

The course helps you to understand the development of good coding practices and program design through theory and hands-on exercises. It follows a lecture-demonstration-lab session format during which you will complete six assignments, three tests and quizzes.

You will learn about programming concepts, using data, making decisions, looping, arrays, methods, logic and program structures.

On successful completion of the course, you will be able to:

• Apply a systematic approach to solve problems;
• Use a variety of thinking skills to anticipate and solve problems;
• Manage the use of time and other resources to complete projects;
• Take responsibility for your actions, decisions and consequences;
• Use a variety of thinking skills to anticipate and solve problems;
