Description This course is intended to help students develop the required skills that will enable them to become successful in professional group interactions and to facilitate therapeutic group activities and programs for today's youth. The student will review and consolidate the theoretical material acquired in Group Dynamics-Processes and Development (CYWP-1117) and apply this knowledge in weekly practice sessions. These practice sessions will provide the student with the opportunity to observe group interactions, give and receive feedback, facilitate and analyze group dynamics. The student will also learn to recognize and deal with problem behaviours, manage conflict, and apply effective decision-making and problem solving techniques.
