Description This course will enhance student's understanding of Early Childhood Education as a profession and the ways in which accessibility, affordability, flexibility, and quality child-care issues impact children, family life and the roles and responsibilities of caregivers. Students will thoroughly explore current trends and issues in the field of early childhood education, including relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and regulations, within a changing social context. Students will be provided with hands-on opportunities to take concrete action to support the well-being of children, families and our profession.

Prerequisite: Completion of first three semesters, including field practicums
