Description This course students will explore upon environmental services (EVS) department in a healthcare setting. Students will gain an overview of the health care organization and commercial sector and the interrelationship of environmental services with other departments. The content includes the roles, responsibilities and communication collaboration as an interprofessional team member, types of healthcare organizations and the significance of their mission statement, types of EVS positions held within a healthcare sector, and the Introduction to healthcare systems in Canada.
Notes A minimum grade of 50% (D) is required in each of the practical and theoretical components to pass each course. Attendance is mandatory.
