Description	In this course, you will critically identify and examine issues in diversity. Specifically, you will focus on topics pertaining to inequality in various social settings, including but not limited to: race, gender, ethnicity, class and sexual orientation. Incorporating social/legal explanations of diversity, you will develop a clear understanding of the groups affected and the possible strategies of community empowerment. You will explore the legal status of Aboriginal people along with the Aboriginal rights and self determination; issues relating to land claims, justice and social services.
