| Description: | In this course, students will prepare themselves, both personally and professionally, to enter and excel in a career in the biotechnology industry. This course is offered in a blended learning format, such that 2 hours per week will be online learning, and 2 hours per week will occur in a face-to-face setting. The learning process will include a mix of interactive small group activities, inquiry-based learning modules, and practical experiential exercises. The content is divided into 5 learning modules: 1. Personal and Professional Development 2. Effective Science Communication and Etiquette 3. Laboratory Best Practices 4. Biotechnology Laboratory Automation, and 5. Entrepreneurship, leadership and lifelong learning |
