Description This course provides further study of the theory and skills necessary to enhance practice for any ophthalmic medical personnel. Topics include pediatric ophthalmology, ophthalmic surgery, ocular oncology and community services for the visually-disabled person. Professional practice issues are an important component and include health care ethics and law related to clinical care. Practical consolidation of learning continues in the workplace under the supervision of the sponsoring ophthalmologist. Students must be supervised/sponsored by an Ophthalmologist. Students will be required to participate in clinical testing.
