| Description: | This course is designed to provide internationally educated learners with the knowledge and skills to identify and integrate communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, and use of electronic medical records, health promotion, and research into a community-based clinical practice. The course is delivered as a part of the ACCESS Employment Healthcare Connections program and supports internationally educated healthcare professionals in securing non-licensed employment in the broader healthcare sector. Learners will be introduced to a range of sector-specific job-seeking strategies and build the skillsets necessary to translate their healthcare experience into non-licensed roles in the broader healthcare sector. |
| Notes: | To be eligible for this course, learners must meet certain residency and experience requirements: • CLB 7+ in English preferred. • Completion of post-secondary education outside of Canada. • Permanent Resident/ Convention Refugee/ Refugee Claimant with a 1-year Canadian work permit or Naturalized Canadian Citizen. • At least one year of experience working in healthcare outside of Canada. • No relevant Canadian Work Experience. • Must reside in Ontario.
