Description: | This course allows students to develop knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern the cultivation, processing, sale and consumption of cannabis. Students will learn the role the federal, provincial, and municipal play in regulating cannabis and review the cannabis act and other key legislation. Students will examine the court cases and political forces that legalized medical and recreational cannabis in Canada and licensing requirements for cultivation and processing facilities.
