Description Responding to children's health needs is an integral part of the early childhood educator's everyday responsibilities. To ensure these needs are met, students will explore the interrelatedness of health, safety and nutrition, and examine strategies, policies and procedures that will enhance the well-being of young children and promote lifelong health habits. Lectures, case scenarios and simulations will emphasize the importance of designing and maintaining healthy and safe environments, engaging in ongoing communication with families and collaborating with other professionals.
