Description The Rescue course provides an overview of technical rescue operations within the fire service. Learners will study the theory of Ice/Water, Trench, Confined Space, Structural Collapse and Wilderness rescue and more deeply delves into Rope Rescue and Auto Extrication theory and skills.

Learners will cover material and develop hands-on skills as required under NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 (core competencies) and NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2 (Auto Extrication). Students will have the opportunity to complete the written and practical certification skills tests related to those two standards.
