Description: | Drawing skills and methods are a very important part of image development. This course focuses on refined drawing as used in the process of effective graphic design communication. Following representational sketches from observation and technical drawings students will work on conceptual development of their drawings, applying design process from research to visual solutions They will learn various drawing methods and techniques to conceptualize their ideas and explore rendering skills to develop strong graphic images. Studies in this course include refinement of form, grid structures, symbolic application of objects and words, exploration of letterforms and study of various drawing techniques. Course content is delivered through lectures, demonstrations, assignments and critiques. Project presentation includes visual, verbal and written components. |
