| Description: | Students will apply the HESS curriculum while they are onsite for field placement. The students will be on a job shadow field placement to define the different positions within the healthcare environmental department and practice the appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills within the inter-professional team. |
| Notes: | A minimum grade of 50% (D) is required in each of the practical and theoretical components to pass each course. Attendance is mandatory. Students are required to successfully complete all requirements prior to being eligible for placement. Medical health clearance of Measles Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Varicella (Chicken Pox) Tetanus/Diphtheria (TD), Polio, and Hepatitis B. A Clear Vulnerable Police Check, TB testing, Respiratory Mask Fit Certification, Influenza immunization and current COVID test when available are Centennial College's minimum requirements for our (HESS) students. Healthcare placement sites may require additional requirements before students can proceed to onsite training. ***PLEASE NOTE: Upon program completion, you will need to fill out and submit a Certificate of Achievement form to Enrolment Services. *** |
