| Description: | Course Description This course introduces students to the practices of museum collections care and handling, through lectures, discussion, guest speakers, field trips, and hands-on activities. Basic conservation and museum environmental concerns, storage and handling of different categories of material will be covered. Risk assessment, especially as it relates to care of collections, will also be covered. Care and handling of collections to be exhibited are also further discussed in the winter Design course. |
