| Description: | The RPN perioperative nursing student will have an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and principles of practice of Perioperative nursing from NP-413. The learner will be expected to apply theoretical concepts and principles of practice as they develop competency skills related to specific scenarios within the laboratory setting in both the scrub and circulating roles. In a simulated perioperative setting, you will practice the scrub and circulating roles and the skills of perioperative nursing according to the ORNAC standards. Emphasis is placed on the scrub nurse role and the provision of safe, individualized patient-focused care and the utilization of effective communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team. ***PLEASE NOTE:*** THE 2024/25 ACADEMIC YEAR IS NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATION. |
