Description This course is designed for registered practical nurses who are transitioning to registered nurses. The course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to examine the impact of current social, political, and environmental stressors on the personal and professional self of a registered nurse. Learners will analyze the role of Change Theory and the Three-Factor Framework in expanding the registered nurse's scope of accountability. By the end of the course, students will be able to evaluate the registered nurse's experience working in a complex and changing healthcare system, as well as the impact of different stressors on the registered nurse and how to manage them. Students will learn to enhance clinical decision-making skills and self-care strategies through interactive, simulation, and case-based learning, and to apply the knowledge gained in this course to real-world scenarios.
