Description This course provides a basis for the integration and application of pathological and psychopathological concepts to clinical practice. It will also include a discussion of the principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Selected major health problems across the life span will be analysed. You will examine selected epidemiological concepts such as the distribution of health states, risk factors, aetiology, pathophysiology and natural history and will critically appraise current literature, research findings, and clinical practice in order to determine therapeutic interventions. Collaborative management will be discussed with a focus on implications for practice.
