Introduction to Drive Systems, Brake and Regenerative Braking CEHB-112
Course Name: | Introduction to Drive Systems, Brake and Regenerative Braking |
Course Number: | CEHB-112 |
Category: | Transportation |
Description | This course is design to provide students with an in depth understanding of how the drive and brake system works on a hybrid and E bus. Students will discuss the major components of both the drive and the brake system; components such as the Stator and the Rotor for drive system, and the foundation braking system for brakes. The conversion of kinetic energy to electricity for recharging the battery during braking will also be discussed as will the maintenance of both the drive system and the brake system. Students will also learn how to check for Isolation faults using manufacturers recommended procedures, and the importance of high voltage isolation |
