Description | This course offers a survey of developmental psychology, covering topics across the human lifespan, from infancy through to old age. Through readings and lecture material, you will examine theories of child development and the research that bears on these theories. You will also examine development across the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive domains. Finally, major themes in the study of developmental psychology, including: the nature-nurture issue; the effects of early experience; and continuity - discontinuity in developmental change will be addressed. |
