Description As a home child care provider it is important to create strong links within your immediate community. In this course students will investigate to identify the community programs and services that are available to them and describe their value to themselves and the children in their care.

Students will uncover the educational value and purpose of community resources and networking for caregivers and children.

Discussion will include approaches to planning for community outings.

Working in home child care can be isolating and create opportunities for burnout. In this course we will explore these feelings, and develop action plans to recognize and deal with issues as they arise.
