Description | Geared toward the beginner, students will learn the basics of programming in G-Code, specific to Vertical Milling Centres. Learners will manually program, set-up, and operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling equipment. Instruction will be given in machine axis motion, operation of control panels, machine start up, and common operations. Topics include program formats, editing, machine function control, and program verification. During the course, students will manufacture simple parts using CNC milling equipment. Parts created during the course will be used in instructing basic quality control procedures. |
