This micro-credentials contain industry's highest in-demand skills-based training, delivered in a condensed format. This relevant training with Access to state-of-the-art equipment and labs for experiential learning developed in collaboration with the Canadian Plastics Industry to improve your marketability or expansion of career paths. Introduction to Scientific Molding is a 40 hours training: 1 hour /week virtual teacher-led and 3 hours/week In-person Labs for 10 weeks This program will conclude with a practical project and case study, facilitating the integration of knowledge gained throughout the 10 weeks. The program covers knowledge and training in the following areas: • foundational principles of injection molding, • polymer behavior, mold design, and process optimization • applying scientific molding techniques, ensuring quality assurance in • Industry 4.0 integration, and sustainable practices • Providing a well-rounded understanding of injection molding practices. Upon successful completion of completing a Micro-credential, learners will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement and Industry digital badges where applicable. |
Admission | Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or General Education Development (GED), or equivalent; OR Mature Student Status (19 years or older)
**For Process Development and Scientific Molding Micro Credentials, applicants must have Post-Secondary Education in Mechanical Engineering or relevant work experience** |
